Summer family photo sessions tend to be truly slept on due to the heat here in Georgia, but for me it’s one of my favorite times to get families out and in front of my camera.
Summer may be full of hot days but near sunset it starts too cool off and the kids are full of adventure. I make sessions during the Summer months more bearable in the heat with having a portable fan for myself as well as a portable fan for my clients plus a cooler full of water + their favorite beverages.
Something I love about the Summer season is that the nights are long and the light is so golden. We start our session about an hour before sunset and as the hour passes the session gets that much better because of the golden summer sun. This location which you can learn more about here is my top spot for a sunset view within 30 minutes of Atlanta, GA. The golden light here is always a big hit with my clients and is the most booked location for me to date.
